Bewiesen wird dies durch die Schenkungsurkunde von K\u00f6nig Heinrich II an das Kloster Nienburg an der Saale vom 8. Aug. 1004. Pretschen liegt im Unterspreewald, einem Teil des UNESCO-Biosph\u00e4renreservats.\u00a0Seit 2003 geh\u00f6rt der Ort, mit ca. 350 Einwohnern und einer Fl\u00e4che von 1719 Hektar im Landkreis Dahme-Spreewald, zur Gemeinde M\u00e4rkische Heide.<\/p>\n

\u201eUnser Dorf hat Zukunft\u201c<\/h4>\n

Bei der Teilnahme am Wettbewerb \u201eUnser Dorf hat Zukunft\u201c des Landkreises Dahme-Spreewald wurde Pretschen 2011 zum Dorf-Wettbewerbs-Sieger gek\u00fcrt. Neben der Gewinner-Urkunde und dem Preisgeld erlangten wir automatisch das Anrecht am Landeswettbewerb teilzunehmen. Seit Oktober 2012 steht Pretschen auch als 8. Landessieger f\u00fcr Brandenburg, im Wettbewerb \u201eUnser Dorf hat Zukunft\u201c 2011\/2012, fest.
